Headbands
Lately I’ve been loving headbands. I have too many to count. They add a flair to an outfit that just can’t be matched by any other accessory. They’re very….Blair, and everyone knows Blair’s style is elegant and classy. For me, headbands are a way to draw attention to my hair, which I like. Though lilac is typically a color reminiscent of spring, I’m fawning over these headbands for fall, especially how the black looks with the lilac:

Though you obviously wouldn’t wear two headbands at once, I think the lilac and black look great next to each other. These are dramatic headbands, just the way I like them. There’s nothing like wearing a big flower on your head; it creates a look that I find absolutely darling.

I never realized just how much fun I could have driving around in a car full of my best friends. Today was one of their birthdays, and to celebrate, we went for ice cream. Then we drove (pretty much aimlessly) around town, in the capable hands of our only friend who is legal to drive all of us. We had the radio on full blast, and as I danced in the backseat, all of us yelling the words to Usher’s “DJ Got Us Falling in Love Again”, I understood the appeal of just driving around. We were screaming the words to all the songs, switching radio stations anytime a commercial came on so we wouldn’t have to deal with it. It was just pure fun: a bunch of teenage girls enjoying time together. We didn’t talk about school, college, or grades; we just focused on having a great time. And though there are times when I question my friendships with these girls, it’s times like the ones today that make me realize they’re my very good friends. And now that I’m a senior in high school, beginning to comprehend that soon I’m going to have to leave all this behind, I’m appreciating it more than ever.
